Marc Gold & Associates moved to Mississippi from Illinois following Marc Gold's death in late 1982. Michael Callahan was elected president by the eight new owners of MG&A and since Michael is a native Mississippian, the headquarters was moved to his home state. The original Mississippi office was located in Ocean Springs on the Gulf Coast. Later, following a three year hiatus in Syracuse, New York, the office was relocated in Pascagoula, MS, for four years in the late '80's and early '90's. In 1992 the office was moved once again to its current location in Gautier, MS, another coastal community. Gautier (locally pronounced "go'-chay") is a small community located between Ocean Springs and Pascagoula and is approximately 100 miles east of New Orleans and 45 miles west of Mobile, AL.
